Hoppers:
·
Available in clam-shell/windrow and cross gate designs.
·
Also available in tandem and triaxle models.
·
Suspension frame consists of: suspension frame rails and cross members fabricat-
ed using 3/16-inch material; wide-track axles provide superior weight distribution
and improved stability; and formed 8-inch channels are used between the suspen-
sion hangers for even greater frame rigidity.
·
Tubular mainframe design and material selection provides maximum strength
while eliminating unnecessary weight.
·
Vertical stiffeners are formed into all slope sheets for increased rigidity.
·
Oscillating king pin assembly uses rubber suspension bushings, which have prov-
en to last longer and are easily replaced.
·
All hopper gates have the ability of being locked in either the open or closed posi-
tions for safety during maintenance or transport.
·
Features of the clam-shell/windrow hopper include: large 51” x 101”
gate maximum gate opening size; air cylinders being closed when
gates are closed and trailer is traveling eliminates dust contamination
of seals and abrasion of shaft by gravel; gate design provides maxi-
mum strength and great sealing characteristics; and large 60-gallon
air tank for uninterrupted use of gates without jeopardizing trailer
operation.
·
Features of the cross gate hopper include: gates nearly vertical for
easiest opening and closing; air cylinders being closed when gates
are closed and trailer is traveling to eliminate dust contamination of
seals and abrasion of shaft by gravel; large mechanical advantage
is achieved with lever system between cylinders and gates resulting
in ‘close under load system; and dual 12-gallon air tanks to provide
uninterrupted use of gates without jeopardizing trailer operation.
·
Gate limiters allow the operator to pre-select the gate opening size,
ideal for spreading product.
